Hudson Reed Tec Lever Mono Basin Mixer Tap inc. Swivel Spout & Waste

This monobloc tap is a very poor design. As other reviewers have stated the waste pipe was not long enough resulting in the plumber taking a trip to a suppliers for an alternative - at extra cost in time and product. The taps do not lock into the block securely and move about in the sockets also it is not possible to line them up so that the appearance is good - when they are in alignment one of them drips. The worst feature of this tap is that the levers just screw into a hole in the tap without being secured so every time the levers are used to turn the water on they unscrew themselves so they have to be hand tightened after every use - at some point they will just fall off and probably crack the hand basin! We've tried swapping the taps over but then the levers unscrew themselves when the water is turned off Very disappointed - would not recommend

Perfect for our needs.

The tap is excellent quality built. Ceramic disk gives good stability however the faucet macerator is useless. The enables an awful lot of water to pour out per min giving huge rise is water bills. Its a 6 spoke plastic macerator, this is no good it needs a standard water saving spout to save water. Problem..is a 15mm male internal thread expanding to 20mm female. This is bad as most faucet macerator will not fit this conversion. Solution is faucet macerator adapter and it works great.

Delivery was very quick and product was as described/expected. Was very useful to receive a free waste with the tap, saved having to buy one! Product was a replacement for an existing tap, was straight forward to remove and fit the new one. Some ongoing issues with getting the valves set correctly (small trickle of water for a couple of seconds after turning off, then after a month or so a constant drip form the hot tap), have made some adjustments and will see how this fares over the coming months.
