Stainless Steel Basket Strainer Kitchen Sink Waste with Overflow

With a stainless steel plate and outlet plug and a bright chrome plastic overflow face, this will brighten up your basin if it is looking a bit tired. It arrived promptly. The overflow design is simple and works (in standard UK basin outlet) but it is of a design that requires more cutting away of the worktop than some. The overflow's design, which a cylinder, blanked off at a T means that it sticks out more than is usual (by about 10mm - the flat end of the cylindrical outlet is 38 or 40mm from the basin's wall). This means that the worktop has to be undercut more deeply than is usual which may weaken it a bit. After cutting away some of the MDF of the worktop, about 10mm is left at the thinnest part - not very thin but perhaps a point of weakness. The design could be improved by the manufacturer.

First class and easily fitted and looks good in sink.
