Does the job
Arrived as describe and was easy enough to fit. I'm only a DIYer but this did have a slightly strange setup in that other fans allow you to wire directly in to them, whereas this had a fly lead so I needed a junction box. It looks good though for a basic fan, nice and quiet ( we'll see if that lasts). I have no idea about durability, but this is only a fan used occasionally on a pull cord.

Hi there, is this water proof enough to take accidental direct shower spray for short durations?

This extract fan is IPX4 Rated which covers the following zone the area above the bath or shower tray area to a height of 2.25m from the finished floor level. In this zone a minimum rating requirement is IPX4. Recommended extractor fans which are rated to a minimum of IPX4.
