International Delivery Information

Since the UK left the EU on 1st January 2021, our processes and requirements have changed in regard to the export of our goods to Europe and other parts of the world.

Following these changes, customers are now no longer eligible to pay value added tax (VAT) in the UK, but become liable to pay taxes/import duties and other customs charges when the goods arrive in the destination country.

When placing an order with Victorian Plumbing, we will charge for the cost of the goods minus VAT - alongside a shipping fee to the delivery country.

Once the shipment arrives, you’ll receive contact from the overseas depot office to arrange payment. Goods will not be released by the destination country’s import depot until the tax and other charges and duties are paid by the customer. It’s important that you provide us with accurate contact details to ensure the overseas office can contact you effectively. This includes one phone number specific to the country you are shipping to.

When you place your order, you’ll be asked whether you understand and agree to our international delivery terms. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth delivery.

International Delivery FAQs

Q: How long does international delivery take?
A: Goods delivered outside of the UK are normally delivered within 5 to 10 working days.

Q: What countries do you ship to?
A: We are currently shipping Small and Large Parcels across Europe and various parts of the world. If you are unable to find your country on the drop down list for delivery, please contact our team for a quotation. For larger pallet deliveries, please use the request a quote option when selecting your country and a member of the team will be in touch.

Q: How much duty will be charged when the goods arrive in the destination country?
A: Unfortunately we are unable to calculate the cost of duty. This is due to costs being a calculation of variables such as delivery destination, order value and product types. You will be contacted by the courier delivering your order once the goods are en route who will give you the amount due.

Q: How does this impact Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland?
A: We are still delivering goods to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Delivery to the Republic of Ireland will now require VAT and duty to be paid after the order has been dispatched. For larger Pallet deliveries, please use the request a quote option for Republic of Ireland and a member of the team will be in touch.

Q: What happens if an item is broken or damaged during the delivery process?
A: Please notify us of any items that arrive damaged within 48 hours of receiving goods. You will be asked to send a photo of the damaged item and, where applicable, a replacement will be dispatched as soon as possible.

Q: What happens if the additional taxes/duties/charges are not paid?
A: Should these commitments not be paid, the order will be returned to Victorian Plumbing and you will be refunded for the cost of goods less a 25% restocking fee. The delivery charge will not be refunded.
