Sophisticated 'forever' tap

I was very happy to find this Grohe tap on sale and in the impulse I overlooked that Grohe water hoses fit 3/8 European rather than the more common UK 1/2 thread. Victoria Plumb had all the measurements and technical details on their page so it was just me. Nevertheless, it was not a big deal, as I was planning to replace the faulty isolation valves with had slanted edge rather that flat edge that should have never been attached directly to hoses in the first place. For these taps, 3/8 to 15mm pipe adaptors to fit isolation valves can be easily found. The tap build quality is fantastic and it feels good to operate with a very precise mixer function. It has built-in pressure flow adjustment function but I did not need to play with these. The only minor criticism is that the rubber seal at the base of the tap is very thin and needs a perfectly flat surface. Also the silicon cover around the steel fixing shoe is not very secure when fastening the fixing nut under the sink and slips out from the shoe but this is not uncommon I believe. On the whole, I am very happy with the product. It feels like a 'forever' tap and the engineering and technology that has gone into it is very palpable. The delivery was fast and order process seamless.
