Cruze 3/4" Deck Bath Side Valves (Pair)

needed a new pair of controls for my center fill bath as one old one failed, trying to find some was a bit of a pain as not many places sell them, found these at a good price great service.

Nice looking taps which are easy to install but care is needed to align the operating pins so they look aligned with each other. The operating pins are screwed into the hole that gives access to the grub screw which holds the top of the tap on. I have found the operating pins can come loose as there is no means of locking them in place. Otherwise I am very pleased with this item.

Easy to install.

I like the idea that the operating knob locking screw is hidden by the operating handle. These valves are easy to fit as the locking nut under the deck does not require a spanner to tighten it. Instead it can be turned by hand easily and then tightened against the deck by the two screws in the locking nut. The only negative point I have is that the the valves turn very freely and it is easy to operate them inadvertently. Over time the valve discs will become polished and be more prone to leaking. Some shims to take up the play would be handy.
