I purchased the extension arm as an experiment to lower the height of my rainfall shower. I'm only 5ft tall and I wanted the shower head a little closer to my head without it causing inconvenience to an average height person. I installed it with a washer and some PTFE tape to stop any leaking joints and it works a treat. It also matches with the existing chrome finished pipework, giving an almost seamless appearance.
