How Many Tiles Do I Need?

Here’s how to work out how many tiles you’ll need using our tiling calculator, in simple, easy-to-follow steps.

Step 1 

Find the tiles that you like on our website and then use our handy tile calculator to help you with your planning. Clicking “how many tiles do I need?” will take you to our tile calculator.

Step 2

If you already know the total area in metres squared (width x length), skip to the next step

If you don’t know the total area in metres squared, click no and simply measure each area you wish to tile (height and width). Then input the area size in metres into the tiling calculator, adding your measurements into the height and width boxes. This will give you the total area in metres squared.

If you are tiling more than one area in the same tile such as multiple walls and the floor, you can add multiple areas to get the total metres squared.

Step 3

Now that you know the total area in metres squared, you can click yes and input the total area in metres squared. This will give you the amount of boxes that you need and the total price, including 10% of extra tiles. We recommend that you add 10% extra tiles to allow for wastage and accidental damage.
