We all are addicted of bathing after a long tiring day. An electric shower is the best option if you want instant hot water to enjoy your bath. You can always save on water if you have
electric showers as you will not have to keep the water running to get warm water. In addition, if your boiler stops working you can get hot water if you have an electric shower. However, you need to see to it that you do not face a power cut. You will not need a plumber to get the electric shower installed. Today we will see how you can do it yourself.
When you get the electric shower, you will receive a template or an instruction paper. You will be able to know how the shower needs to be positioned. Carefully do the marking on the wall wherever you want to install the unit. Now drill pilot holes on the marks that you made seeing in your template. You also need to drill a hole for the copper piping that is used to link the water. Remember that this hole should be wide by half an inch. Now attach the pipe to the shower unit and water. Remember to use copper piping and give it a connection to the water valve. The shower unit should be attached to the wall after connecting the showerhead to the cooper piping’s end. Let me tell you that an electric shower requires a pull switch so that the shower can be turned on and off. In order to install that pull switch you need to drill a hole through the ceiling. Once that is done run the pull cord in the ceiling through the hole which is attached to the power source and then you to your shower unit. Ensure that you give a covering to the pull switch to avoid any dangerous circumstances.
Use the above steps carefully and you will be able to do the installation of your electric shower yourself and save time and money.
