Water is one of the most essential requirements, and these days there is a lot of water scarcity. So whenever you find water being wasted try to stop it by all means. If there is leakage in your
bathroom or bath taps don’t think that it’s a very little amount of water wasted. Put a bucket under it and it will fill overnight. Learn to do the small things like fixing a faucet yourself. It’s not as hard as u think it is.The first step to start any kind of plumbing job is to shut off the water line and also the heater lines.Then you can start. Almost all
taps have the same kind of mechanism. Once you
do it yourself it will be easy for you.
In these types of taps you will be able to remove the upper lid by flip of the screw driver. See the image for guidance.Then you will see a screw inside, remove it.
When you remove the screw the handles will be easy to remove. Just pull them off.
Now you will see a fitting that holds the handle, remove this fitting with a wrench. There will be another such fitting; this also has to be removed. Now you will know where the leak is occurring.
These are a bit hard to remove so be care full. If your taps are too old and rusted then you might need to replace them.
Or else replacing the seal will work. If the seal is too worn out then it allows water to pass through.
So replacing it will stop the leakage.Now fix everything back and replace the upper lid and it is done.
