Insignia - Hydro-Massage Shower Cabin with Mirrored Backwalls - GT9002M

Poor Quality

I have taken a long time to get this installed, and I have to confess it is really poor, I feel I have wasted my money. It is flimsy, the plastics feel cheap and nasty. It is all held together with 30 little screws and lots of silicone. Mine leaks from the factory fitted jets, and all I get from Insignia is rude childish unhelpful comments. I would really like a full refund,

Quadrant Hydro Massage Shower Cabin Enclosure - HMC001

not a happy customer

Purchased this item because of the reviews and the price value. Installing the equipment was not an easy process; the front frame that holds the glass pieces were very weak, glass pieces are heavy and require a strong build. Within the first 3 days the screws became loose, the holes in the frame had expanded and the glass pieces almost fell out! I made a complaint and received my refund without an issue. This was paid to me at the end of November 2014. The item is still in my house, I am constantly ringing to arrange collection. The service team is very polite and considerate! I am treated with respect. However, it is now 12/01/15 and I have a shower cabin sat in my living room for 2 months now...just waiting to be collected.

Modena Sliding 8mm Easy Fit Shower Door

Modena Sliding 8mm Easy Fit Shower Door

An okay product

Item turned up with Palletways, who just drop it off on your drive fastened to a big wooden pallet. Wife had to struggle getting it in on her own and now we have to get rid of a huge pallet. Glass is solid and very heavy, frame is a little bit of a let down. Not really polished chrome like in the description, more a matt, not what I was expecting. Fitting wasn't as 'easy' as made out, but wasn't too bad. The quality of the frame isn't too bad, but from the inside it looks cheap, not finished very well all the screws are on show, although you get little chrome caps to put on them, its still a very cheap way to fasten it to the wall, other frames are screwed from inside the frame hiding all the screws which is much better, this one is let down by the unfinished look and feel from the inside, from the outside it looks fine. Last minor detail is the handle, it says to handles, and on the image the handles are the same, you get one handle like on the image and one tiny handle for inside which isn't great, it looks odd with you been able to see the handle through the glass, again a little detail but one that spoils the product. I wouldn't have bought this had I seen it in a showroom, but maybe this is as good as you get for this kind of money, maybe you do have to spend £500 upwards to get the quality items.

Introduction

Adding a Shower Enclosure to your bathroom provides a great accompaniment to your shower, giving the room an extra layer of style while preventing unwanted splashing and wet floors at the same time. There are many different designs to choose from, but which one is right for you?

What are the different options available to me?

Shower Enclosures come in numerous styles, including:

Quadrant: These enclosures are very common as they are suitable for bathrooms of various sizes. There are a number of shapes available in this style and they slot neatly into bathroom corners.

Cabins: Cabins offer a luxurious way to shower. Many of them feature items such as body jets and steam functions for a spa treatment you can enjoy at home. Suitable for larger bathrooms.

Wet Rooms: Also known as Walk-In Showers, when combined with a shower tower, these enclosures are fantastic if space is at a premium. They feature open space and are ideal for those with mobility problems. Various screen styles can be incorporated to get the setup you want.

I just need a door, what are my options?

There are plenty of great shower doors available, such as:

Hinged/Pivot Doors: These doors come in a large amount of sizes, giving you great choice no matter what your requirements are.

Sliding Doors: A practical upgrade for any enclosure, these items come in a large range of sizes and soft-close options are available.

Bi-Fold Doors: These doors are ideally suited to smaller enclosures due to their compact nature. They are a great for guest bathrooms and en-suites.

Shower Side Panels: Available in sizes to suit your requirements, side panels are an effective way to finish off your enclosure, keeping your bathroom splash free.

What are your trays made of?

Our range of trays is manufactured to ensure the highest possible standards are met. Many feature tough polyurethane resin moulds which have filler mixed with volcanic ash inside them, with acrylic capped casings that are very durable. These hard, solid resin trays are very robust and are built to last.

Additional Information

Do I Need A Waste?

Shower wastes should not be overlooked. Wastes ensure your draining is safe and efficient. There are various choices available that will suit different shower styles. Our range of contemporary and traditional waste options will match your enclosure perfectly. A waste is an essential aspect of any shower enclosure.

Do I need leg stands and a panel?

You will only need leg stands with certain types of enclosure. These help in cases when you have a concrete floor, as they mean you don’t have to cut into the floor itself to get the tray to fit, while the raised panels conceal the piping, giving a flush look that is both practical and stylish. They are mainly used as part of a quadrant enclosure, raising the tray to your required level.
